In Bangladesh, we never had lynchings under military rule: now, around 80 occur every year.

We have hartals where people are burnt to death: we live in terror of the government, the opposition and the mob that might lynch me on a mere suspicion.

But none of this gets blamed on democracy, where two rival parties, headed by two queens their flunkies obey unconditionally, creates anarchy and violence.

Anarchy and violence are themselves seen as legitimate aspects of democracy.Iftekharhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11253056014938830642noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7057681763468900800.post-30702807579817902232010-11-04T16:02:28.606+01:002010-11-04T16:02:28.606+01:00Those undemocratic forces waiting for an intervent...Those undemocratic forces waiting for an intervention from the ‘boots’ are also in for a disappointment. There are a lot of factors militating against a military intervention, at least for the foreseeable future. The international community, especially the US, would not support a military dictatorship at this point in time. Pakistan would have a hard time coping with the situation if international aid is cut off. Apart from this, the army is too busy combating the terrorists right now to think of embarking on yet another misadventure. If we keep lurching from crisis to crisis in a reactive manner, we are unlikely to get out of the mess we are in. At his critical juncture mid term poll with be nothing but tantamount to add fuel in fire. Mid-term elections will be last nail in the coffin of democracy. All the democratic forces must realize that anti-democratic elements want to pitch them against each other. It is time to be mature and vigilant against such forces.Qurat-ul-ainhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09937540887975341596noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7057681763468900800.post-57637018915485250942010-11-04T04:09:26.954+01:002010-11-04T04:09:26.954+01:00The third part: http://www.remnantnewspaper.com/Ar...The third part: http://www.remnantnewspaper.com/Archives/2010-1015-medaille-monarchy.htmJohn Médaillehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16463267750952578888noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7057681763468900800.post-47343178057719769502010-10-02T20:56:21.625+02:002010-10-02T20:56:21.625+02:00I WILL LIKE TO PARTICIPATE PLEASEI WILL LIKE TO PARTICIPATE PLEASEUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16772940891560357166noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7057681763468900800.post-77573262405483444832010-07-17T16:24:53.872+02:002010-07-17T16:24:53.872+02:00I like the dissection of democracy;the limitations...I like the dissection of democracy;the limitations of democracy as it pertain to the effectiveness of the instruments of governance, constituitionality, probity.Conflagrational capitalism enabled by democracy have stiffled standard of living, literacy, ethics, values, welfarism as the chasm between the rich and the poor engulf.I am a Nigerian resident in South Africa.Nigeria is a study referral.I will participate.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7057681763468900800.post-34108196503799542592010-07-05T21:19:38.449+02:002010-07-05T21:19:38.449+02:00Do we need a Referendum For A New Democracy?

While he does raise good points, Paul (formerly Saul of Tarsis) mentions his Roman citizenship more than a few times, frequently to expose his mistreatment and imprisonment without trial. It seems to me that we should not reject our citizenship to particular nation simply because we are citizens of heaven or ambassadors of Christ.

We are advised to "Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything." This should be applied to voting as well. And why would we not want to bring about the events foretold in Revelations? As Jesus said, "Your kingdom come. Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven." We should be joyfully awaiting his coming, not fearfully trying to stall the process of a one-world government.

I do agree though that the body of Christ (the church) does not belong to any nationality.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7057681763468900800.post-80791641927605313232010-05-20T12:24:18.384+02:002010-05-20T12:24:18.384+02:00Experienced Peoples are in opinion that Bangladesh...Experienced Peoples are in opinion that Bangladesh can not face the track of advancement of Science and Technology like other Asian Countries nearby Bangladesh

Even Bangladesh will not be able to dream the face of digital world with existing colonial laws and legal system.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7057681763468900800.post-84668848941891417542010-04-28T02:28:52.538+02:002010-04-28T02:28:52.538+02:00Mr. Kofmel,

Therefore, Russia, China, Central Asia and others are not necessarily 'slipping back' into authoritariasm. They are in transition, believing that their societies are presently best served through this mechanism than through electoral democracy. Some regimes are nastier than others, but this is a similar journey to the one Europe took.

Humphrey Hawksley
www.democracykills.comHumphrey Hawksleyhttp://www.humphreyhawksley.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7057681763468900800.post-79277577509393182452010-02-14T03:22:31.404+01:002010-02-14T03:22:31.404+01:00I will try to read the book you mentioned above. Unresolved political situation in Thailand that resulted in frequent military action in it's southern area bordering with Malaysia. 2. The menace of Israel military activities against Palestine. 3.
